The Chief Power Engineering Officer is a key executive leadership role responsible for the overall strategic direction, planning, design, and reliable operation of the Cooperative's electrical system, while simultaneously identifying, developing, and implementing innovative technologies and business models to ensure long-term competitiveness and value for our members. NOTICE OF JOB OPENING FOR JOURNEYMAN LINEMAN
The San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. currently has an opening for a certified Journeyman Lineman. The hourly rate of pay for certified journeyman is $56.04 with a competitive benefit package. Forty hours/week plus additional time as duties require. Scheduled after hours on-call rotation required. Duties include construction, maintenance and repair of lines. Requirements: journeyman lineman certificate with 4 years’ experience in line work. NOTICE OF JOB OPENING FOR ACCOUNTANT
The San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative has an opening for a full-time Accountant. Duties: prepares and maintains accurate financial records for monthly reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, reconcile bank statements, maintains assigned journals, prepares monthly and annual Department of Energy and Colorado sales tax reports, general invoicing for accounts receivable, reconcile subsidiary accounts and processing rebates. Starts at $34.86 - $46.81/hr with a competitive benefit package. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required and four years of accounting experience preferred. Application can be completed HERE.
