NOTICE OF JOB OPENING FOR MECHANIC
San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. located at 3625 US Highway 160 W, Monte Vista, CO currently has an open position for a mechanic. Work hours are Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week plus additional time as necessary. High school diploma, Automotive Technical degree/equivalent industry certification and 5 years' experience in diesel and gas engine tune-up/repair are required. Must have experience with repair and maintenance of all automotive systems such as brakes, electrical and air systems as well as hydraulic and pneumatic system designs, operation and maintenance. Must know how to safely operate vehicle lifts, tire machines, drill press, brake lathe, grinder and other metal working tools. Must possess a valid Colorado Commercial Driver’s License. Must be able to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal and have some knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
