Co-op Connections Program
How to sign your business up

Co-op Connections card

Sign up for Co-op Connections Today!

SLVREC mailed out Co-op Connections Cards to members in early 2011. All SLVREC members received a Co-op Connections card and two key fobs in the mail. The cards are be used for discounts at participating businesses both locally and nationwide. Your business is invited to participate! Signing up for the program is easy. The biggest benefit--your business will be mentioned for free on SLVREC's web page, in the co-op's newsletter and on the national Co-op Connections web site.

It's a great program that helps both the businesses SLVREC serves and co-op members. There's no cost to co-op members who use the card and no cost for businesses who choose to participate in the program.

Under the program, participating businesses offer a discount to cardholders. SLVREC will list this discount on the co-op web page and provide the information to the national program coordinator for a listing on the national page. Discount information for participating businesses in the U.S. can be viewed on the program's national web page (http://co-opconnections.com).

The card entitles co-op members to any discount offered to Co-op Connections® cardholders nationwide. With over 130 electric cooperatives participating, there are over 23 million Co-op Connections card holders in the U.S.

For more information, or to sign up your business in the program, contact SLVREC today. A program brochure and sign up forms are available below.

By the time you read this, this list of partcipating businesses will have increased; new businesses sign up regularly! The current list of all participating businesses is available at the national Co-op Connections web site (www.connections.coop). The list of all businesses participating within the San Luis Valley is here.

Completing the required paperwork to enroll a business in the program takes about 5 minutes. The hardest part: deciding what discount your business will offer.

You can choose the offer that works best for you. Touchstone Energy program experts encourage businesses to choose discounts that help bring new traffic in. They suggest businesses use the program as a great way to promote special services, or more expensive products.

If you have a business and want to sign up for the program, contact Cheryl Jones at SLVREC. If you are a member, and have questions about the card you will be receiving in the mail in April, call customer service or email SLVREC.
