Closing an Account at SLVREC
Are you moving out of a rental? Do you need to close an account at SLVREC? Call the cooperative with the following information on hand:
How your account is currently listed.
Your forwarding address.
The date you are moving so the meter can be read and transferred back into the property owners name.
No signature or other information is required.
If you own your home and are planning to sell, the cooperative will need similar information. The new owner will need to set up an account with the cooperative for the home or business.
It's always good idea to keep your current address on file with the cooperative if you move in the future. That way, if capital credits are owed to you, the cooperative will be able to mail you a check.
